What we do

WASH in Primary Schools

We Improve school children’s health and disease prevention through WASH education and training in Primary Schools in in Kakamega County using sustainable and community led solutions.

This develops the knowledge and skills of the schools’ Boards of Management (BoMs), Head Teachers, teachers and pupils empowering them so that they are better able to identify and help establish robust and sustainable WASH practices in their schools and lives in line with the UN SDGs and Kenya Government Standards and Guidelines for Primary Schools

Reproductive health and Rights - To foster transparency, citizen engagement, and collaboration, social accountability initiatives that holds governments, service providers, and other stakeholders accountable for their actions and improve the delivery of SRHR services. To also empower young people in such a way that they are better able to understand reproductive health rights, HIV/AIDS, and thus improve the standard of their health and well-being.

Entrepreneurship and Business development - To develop a programme of education and support for vulnerable young women in such a way that it improves their quality of life and that of their families.

Governance and Reproductive Health and rights

The Vision - Innovative, creative and healthy youth in the community

The Objectives

  • To address the SRHR issues by overcoming the social and cultural barriers which prevent access to key services using innovative measures such as sports-football.

  • To strengthen social accountability of the community to hold the government accountable of use of Reproductive health resources.

 

Entrepreneurship and Business development

The Vision - Improved job creation, economic growth, and increased social mobility among young women.

The Objectives

  • To provide them with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in business, achieve economic independence, and contribute positively to their families and communities.
